  • Develop and implement work procedures, train staff, implement quality improvement programs. Audit existing processes identify critical gaps and design new corrective procedures within the budgetary constraints. Team leader of HACCP/ISO/H+S team.
  • Sourcing of new clients and suppliers, nationally and internationally. Handle customer complaints and supplying according to their specifications.

  • Facilitate root cause failure with regards safety and equipment failure.
    Interaction with foreign countries, construction companies, clients and suppliers regarding abattoir/processing operational techniques, product development and animal husbandry.
  • Strategic alignment and direction to control and direct performance
    Accountable for sound financial viability for the appropriate sections
    Direct operations goals to meet budget and other financial goals
    Ensure that the company has an effective risk management process
  • Adherence and compliance to all quality assurance and food safety systems, with knowledge and experience of HACCP, FSSC, ISO22000, Kosher and Halal certification and audits
  • Conducting internal and external audits, GAP analysis, managing customer complaints and corrective actions.

  • Managed the largest ostrich processing plants in Europe and the Middle East. Assisted in the construction of abattoir and processing plants in Cyprus, Israel, Ethiopia and South Africa.
  • Successfully obtaining export status to the EU, Gulf States, Far East and SADC countries at 4 abattoirs’ I have been involved in.
  • Assisting Sales and Marketing departments in obtaining new clients and developing new products according to their specifications.
  • Have successfully implemented large Cost-Down Initiative programs at the abattoirs and reduce customer complaints.
